We are currently only accepting private pay only. All major credit cards/debit cards and checks are accepted. Payment is due at the time of service. 

Upon request, you may be provided with a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider to determine what out of network speech therapy services are included in your plan.

  • Do you accept insurance?

    At this time, Northport Speech Therapy is a private pay organization. We do not bill insurance companies; however, a medical receipt (Superbill) can be provided per your request for you to submit to your insurance for possible “out-of-network” reimbursement.

    We recommend reaching out to your health insurance provider to determine reimbursement eligibility.

  • What Payments are accepted?

    We currently accept cash, venmo, paypal, zelle & credit/debit cards. Payment is required at the time of service or may be paid in advance. Please contact us to request our rates for specific services.

  • What are the benefits of private pay therapy?

    There is no waitlist.

    No referral or prescription is needed.

    The frequency of therapy sessions is not restricted

    There are no eligibility requirements needed to qualify for therapy

    Therapy sessions are tailored specifically to you and your loved one’s needs

    Sessions can be provided in a location that works best for you, whether that be in your home, in the community (e.g park or library), or virtually.

  • How do I know if my child needs speech and language therapy?

    The best way to determine if your child needs therapy is to speak with a professional. Let’s set up a time to talk it out during a free consult call to discuss your concerns.

  • Is an evaluation required prior to services beginning?

    No, if your child had a recent report it wouldn’t be necessary to repeat this. If there isn’t a recent evaluation, clients must be evaluated prior to receiving therapeutic services. The evaluation may last up to 60 minutes and consists of caregiver interviews, observations, as well as formal and/or informal assessment tools. The results of the evaluation will be shared with you and a report will be provided. We will accept recent evaluation reports that have occurred in the last 6 months related to your areas of concern.

  • How long are therapy sessions?

    We offer 30-minute and 45-minute sessions, depending on your child’s needs and attention.

  • Is there a waitlist?

    No! We are are currently accepting new clients.
